On Friday, September 30, colleagues, business partners, friends and family gathered in the canteen at Cassiopeia to say goodbye to Uffe Kjærulff retiring from his position as Deputy Head of Department/Head of Studies. Entertaining speeches were delivered by Dean Henrik Pedersen, Head of Department Peter Axel Nielsen, and former Professor Finn Verner Jensen.

They all applauded the retiring Head of Studies for his substantial contribution to the university, especially in the educational area.

Uffe graduated from Aalborg University in 1985 with a Master of Science in Engineering. In 1993, he added a PhD degree to his resume, initiating his longtime relationship with AAU as Associate Professor.

In 2009, Uffe became the Head of the School of Information and Communication Technology, and in 2018, he joined this department as Deputy Head of Department/Head of Studies, following the extensive reorganization at the university.

Though Uffe has announced his retirement, he will be working part-time as an Educational Consultant in a project focusing on data-driven study management at the Tech Faculty.

We are grateful for Uffe’s significant contribution and wish him all the best in the future.
