DESCRIBE YOUR RESEARCH AREA AND FOCUS
- I work on developing and implementing different methods to manipulate and understand differential systems. These methods could be either symbolic (without losing information but obtaining simpler structures for further computations) or numeric (computing approximately interesting values of the system). Having an effective implementation of all these methods is paramount for my research.
PROJECTS YOU ARE/WILL BE INVOLVED IN?
- Currently I am involved in several projects: reducing dynamical systems using neural networks to obtain the valid reduction, computing approximate reductions for dynamical systems, representing solutions of differential equations symbolically, computing reduced differential systems with less amount of variables.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO CONTINUE YOUR CAREER AT AALBORG UNIVERSITY
- Aalborg University (and more precisely, the CS department) has a wide variety of people with plenty of knowledge on learning with Neural networks and that also work on reducing differential systems. Besides the perfect chance to enjoy life in Denmark, all these working opportunities are simply very attractive to push my research further.
FUN AND OTHER FACTS?
- I enjoy strategy games, both on the board and on the computer (I am looking at you, Chess). I do also enjoy playing racket sports such as table-tennis, tennis, badminton, etc. I am not claiming to be good at any of them, but I always enjoy playing against new people.
