Department of Computer Science, Aalborg University welcomes Kaixuan Chen as new Assistant Professor in the Database and Web Technology (DW) group.
Kaixuan Chen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Engineering, and prior to joining Aalborg University, she completed her PhD in sensor-based human activity recognition at the University of New South Wales, Australia.
Describe your area and research interests:
- I have been studying sensor-based human behaviour understanding for three years. It is a very fundamental study for human life due to the vast proliferation of sensor devices and the Internet of Things. My future plan is to extend my research to more human-related fields, such as traffic or medical realms. I hope that my research could make even a small contribution to real human life.
Why did you choose to continue your career at Aalborg University?
- I chose to work at Aalborg University because I can work with some of the most respectable researchers and teachers here. It is an excellent opportunity for me to learn from senior researchers and gain concrete knowledge. Also, I like the problem-based learning style at this university. This is beneficial to both the students and the supervisors.
