RESEARCH AREA AND FOCUS
My research interests span multiple areas of Computer Science, including programming language design, compiler design, developer tooling, parallel and distributed programming, big data, data warehousing, and extract-transform-load processes. My work at Cassiopeia is primarily focused on online analytical processing and in particular large-scale model-based time series management.
PROJECTS
I am currently involved in the MORE project, the SEMIOTIC project, and a paper evaluating the effect of lossy compression on time series analytics. I also help maintain the model-based time series management system ModelarDB (https://github.com/skejserjensen/ModelarDB), and the programmatic extract-transform-load framework pygrametl (https://github.com/chrthomsen/pygrametl).
PRIVATE/FUN FACTS
In my spare time. I like to cook, experiment with homebrewing, read, listen to heavy metal music, and go on bicycle rides. I also read technical books, scientific papers, and develop open-source software for recreation and to learn new technical skills.
